IPSS Membership - New members warmly welcome!
Our IPSS Policy and Procedure for Application facilitates and supports membership applications from Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists accredited with CPJA. We welcome applications from direct members of CPJA as well as members of other CPJA Member Organisations.
What we offer
We organize three IPSS Forums per year, where members and guest speakers present and discuss papers and relevant topics in the fields of Psychotherapy, Psychoanalysis, and Social Studies. Some of these forums are face-to-face, others are held online via Zoom.
At our face-to-face meetings in Southwark, members can get to know each other and socialize over lunch. It has been noted by recent outside speakers that IPSS has a friendly and informed membership. Members, who live outside London, can join IPSS Online Forums which we attempt to offer at least twice a year.
Members of IPSS are well supported by our administrator Paola and Committee Members in their Annual Renewal of Membership. We help members to keep up-to-date with their CPD logs, by, for example, offering advice and issuing CPD certificates for our forums.
Our 5-yearly reaccreditation process supports our members to sustain their UKCP membership.
Therapists, who would like to become IPSS members, but do not yet fulfill our requirements, can apply for UKCP Accreditation .
How to apply
If you want to get a taste of IPSS you are welcome to attend a forum. This is a good opportunity to meet some of the membership.
